The difference between welded and seamless steel pipes lies in their manufacturing diferences. Seamless steel pipes are produced by piercing a solid billet, after which rolling it into a pipe shape which is later referred to as a seamless pipe. To achieve a smooth internal and external surface and auniform strength, no seams or joints are added. Welded steel pipes on the other hand are manufactured by welding steel plates or strips to each other.
